The 2000 Australian Nations Cup Championship was a CAMS sanctioned motor racing title for drivers of Nations Cup cars. It was the inaugural Australian Nations Cup Championship.

Calendar

The championship was contested over an eight round series.

  • Round 1, Adelaide Parklands Circuit, South Australia, 8–9 April
  • Round 2, Eastern Creek International Raceway, New South Wales, 30 April
  • Round 3, Canberra Street Circuit, Australian Capital Territory, 10–11 June
  • Round 4, Queensland Raceway, Ipswich, Queensland, 2 July
  • Round 5, Oran Park, Sydney, New South Wales, 30 July
  • Round 6, Calder Park, Victoria, 20 August
  • Round 7, Gold Coast, Queensland, 13–15 October
  • Round 8, Mount Panorama, Bathurst, New South Wales, 17–19 November
  • Rounds 3,7 & 8 were contested over three races and all other rounds over two races.

    Points system

    Championship points were awarded on a 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis for the first ten places in each race. An additional point was awarded to the driver setting pole position in qualifying for each round.
