Service
The 19th Kentucky Infantry was organized at Camp Harwood in Harrodsburg, Kentucky and mustered in for a three-year enlistment on January 2, 1862, under the command of Colonel William Jennings Landram.

The 19th Kentucky Infantry mustered out of service at Louisville, Kentucky, on January 26, 1865. Veterans and new recruits were transferred to the 7th Kentucky Veteran Volunteer Infantry.
