The 1999 Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs season was the 12th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Occurrences

Seven games into the All-Filipino Cup eliminations, Purefoods' direct-hire recruit; Fil-Am Alvarado Segova debut in their game against Barangay Ginebra. Segova didn't last long in the league and was soon deported after being found out to be a fake Filipino.

Jerry Codinera, one of the only two remaining originals of the Purefoods team was traded to Mobiline for Andy Seigle during the Commissioners Cup, ending an 11-year partnership with main man Alvin Patrimonio. Their tandem led the Hotdogs to 9 out of 11 trips to the All-Filipino finals.

Henry Fernandez was traded to Pop Cola in exchange for Boyet Fernandez before the start of the Governor's Cup.

Summary

The Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs had former Pop Cola mentor Derek Pumaren as their new head coach at the start of the season, replacing Chito Narvasa. In the All-Filipino Cup, the Hotdogs finish the double-round eliminations with a 7-9 won-loss card and seeded at seventh, lost to 2nd seed Alaska Milkmen in the quarterfinal round.

In the Commissioner's Cup, Purefoods signed nigerian Julius Nwosu as their import. After the one-round eliminations, the Hotdogs were again seeded at seventh and this time lost to Formula Shell in the quarterfinals.

Purefoods brought in Derrick Brown as their import in the Governor's Cup. The Hotdogs were the top seeded team after the one-round eliminations with a 7-1 won-loss slate. They finally advances in the semifinal round by defeating 8th seeded Barangay Ginebra Kings. The Hotdogs were swept in three games by the Alaska Milkmen in their best-of-five semifinal series. The team settled for 4th place and went crownless for the second straight season.
