The 1999 Beach Soccer World Championship was the fifth edition of the Beach Soccer World Championship, an international beach soccer competition contested by men's national teams, which came under the auspices of FIFA in 2005 and was renamed FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. The tournament continued to take place at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Brazil won their fifth title in a row. For the first time, 12 teams took part in the competition.

The organisation for the 1999 world cup was completely different from previous years. The teams that competed was exended to 12 teams. They were split into 4 groups of 3 teams with the top 2 teams progressing to the quarter finals.
