  • There were five new teams, representing:
  • Aberystwyth University, joining the Southern Conference
  • University of Bath, joining the Southern Conference
  • Staffordshire University, joining the Southern Conference
  • University of Sunderland, joining the Northern Conference
  • University of the West of England, joining the Southern Conference
  • Newcastle Mariners rejoined the Northern Conference after a 1-season gap, meaning BCAFL started with 26 teams.
