The 1988 Panasonic Cup was the New South Wales Rugby League's mid-week competition that ran during the 1988 NSWRL season. It was won by Sydney's St. George Dragons club.

Format

Northern Territory, South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria were replaced by the 3 new NSWRL clubs (Brisbane Broncos, Gold Coast Giants and Newcastle Knights) reducing the competition to 19 teams, participating in a straight knock-out. There was a random draw for all rounds other than the Preliminary Rounds.
