Promotion and relegation
In the sixth season of the Northern Premier League none of the teams were put forward for election to the Football League nor automatically promoted. Conversely, none of the sides were relegated, but Bradford Park Avenue folded at the end of the season. They were replaced by newly admitted Worksop Town (returning after an absence of five years).
