The 1963 Asian Basketball Confederation Championship for Men were held in Taipei, Republic of China.

Preliminary round

Since both Thailand and Malaya were tied on points, a play-off game was played to decide the 4th team.

The results and the points of the preliminary round shall be taken into account for the second round.

Since both Taiwan and Philippines were tied on points, a play-off game was played to decide the champion.
