The 1897 Colorado Silver and Gold football team was an American football team that represented the University of Colorado during the 1897 college football season. Head coach Fred Folsom led the program to its fourth consecutive conference championship. The team recorded a mark of 5–0 in the CFA and 7–1 overall.
