March: The fourth FA Cup is played at Kennington Oval being contested by Royal Engineers and Old Etonians. The result was 1-1 (attendance:2,000) played on 13 March being the first ever FA Cup Final to feature a replay which was to be played on 16 March. The result this time was 2-0 to Royal Engineers(attendance:3,000).

6 March: England plays Scotland at Kennington Oval. The result ends 2-2.

10 April: The second Scottish Cup is played at Hampden Park. Queens Park record a second win in a row after defeating Renton 3-0 (attendance: 7,000).
