In the recent 2016 eGaming Power 50 list (an annual list of the top 50 e-gaming operators globally) published by the eGaming Review Magazine, 12BET jumped 11 notches as the 17th best operator in the world notably being one of the highest ranking Asia based eGaming operators.
Sponsorship
In 2009, 12BET became the main shirt sponsor of Spanish La Liga club, Sevilla FC which lasted for two years.
In 2010, 12Bet was the official betting gaming partner of Newcastle United.
During the 2011-2012, 12BET became Wigan Athletic's sponsor, a deal which lasted for three years.
In 2013, the bookmaker became the first stadium sponsor and official betting partner of the newly promoted club of Crystal Palace.
The following year, 12BET sealed a one-time sponsorship agreement with Coventry in January. The company also had collaboration with Hull City as their official jersey benefactor. The alliance between the two lasted just a single season as the club was relegated.

Controversy
Shortly after signing a stadium sponsorship deal with Crystal Palace, talks about renaming Selhurst Park to 12BET Stadium spread and ignited different reactions from its supporters. However, Crystal Palace's management appeased its fans that the stadium's name will not be changed.
Following the 2016 Cheltenham Horse Racing festival, 12BET voided a large number of winning Cheltenham bets and closed the accounts of customers. 12BET argued that they had been subject to widespread bonus abuse by customers opening multiple accounts and claiming bonuses. However, after a furious response on social media, the bookie brand apologized and agreed to refund 75% of the affected customers. While ruling out a criminal investigation, the Isle of Man Constabulary continues to monitor allegations of withheld funds.
