1240 Centenaria, provisional designation 1932 CD, is a main-belt asteroid discovered on February 5, 1932, by astronomer Richard Schorr at Bergedorf Observatory in Hamburg, Germany. The asteroid measures about 59 kilometers in diameter. It orbits the Sun at a distance of 2.4–3.4 AU every 4.86 years and is inclined by 10 degrees to the ecliptic.

It was named Centenaria to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the discovering observatory on October 31, 1933.
