The company was officially formed on 11 September 2010, founded by former CD Projekt and Metropolis Software developers and staff members. Currently, they employ thirty people. The company's goal is to create games suitable for both hardcore gamers as well as casual gamers, and to make games easily available through digital distribution. 11 bit studios implement and deliver games to all main gaming platforms, including consoles, computers, and handhelds. They are best known for their award winning game, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, a real-time strategy reversed tower defense. Their other game, This War of Mine, was well received by players and critics due to its depiction of the Siege of Sarajevo.
