1033 Simona is an asteroid that was discovered by George Van Biesbroeck on September 4, 1924, and given the provisional designation 1924 SM. It was named after Simona Risteska, daughter of the discoverer.

Photometric observations at the Oakley Observatory in Terre Haute, Indiana, during 2007 were used to build a light curve for this object. The asteroid displayed a rotation period of 10.07 ± 0.06 hours and a brightness variation of 0.15 ± 0.05 in magnitude.
