Professional career

Colomé was added to the Rays 40 man roster on November 18, 2011.

He was called up to the Rays on May 29, 2013.

On March 24, 2014 he was suspended 50 games for failing a random drug test.

In 2016, Colome was promoted to be the full-time closer for the Rays. He finished the season with 37 saves, fourth in the AL, and ended the season with a 1.91 ERA. Colome was also selected to his first career all-star game.
