Zubair Ahmad Khalid Shaheed (Urdu:زبیر احمد خالد شہید) was an Afghan Jihadi commander affiliated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami who was born in Abdul Hakeem, Pakistan.

Biography

Khalid Zubair was among the most famous jihadi commanders during the Soviet war in Afghanistan.

He had memorized the Quran at the age of 7, and who, at the age of 25, was one of the most respected commanders in the Afghan jihad. He died during war after getting wounded by land mines.

He was very close to Nasar-ullAllah Langriyal and Ilyas Kashmiri, both were respected commanders in the Afghan jihad from Pakistan and later get involved in the Jihad of Kashmir also called Insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir

Afghhan Mujahedin gave him the title Khalid (on the name of Khalid ibn al-waleed, a companion of Prophet Muhammad) due to his bravery.
