The Zimmer's tapaculo (Scytalopus zimmeri) is a species of passerine bird in the Rhinocryptidae family endemic to Bolivia and Argentina.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, and rocky areas.

Its name commemorates American ornithologist John Todd Zimmer.

It is terrestrial and prefers to run rather than fly.
