Zheng Yang ((Chinese: 杨铮; pinyin: Yang Zheng; born in July 1979 in Nanjing Jiangsu China) is a Chinese-American scientist, researcher, and engineer who works in the area of electronic materials and devices. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics from Nanjing University in 2001 and 2004, respectively; and received his Ph.D. in 2009 in Electrical Engineering from University of California at Riverside. He joined the University of Illinois at Chicago faculty in 2011 after working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University for about two years. His research interests focus on electronic materials and devices, nanotechnology, and applied physics. He is the author and co-author of over 100 journal and conference papers and presentations with a total citation of over 2600 times. He is currently the Director and Principle Investigator of Laboratory for Electronic Materials and Devices (LEMD), also known as YANG Research Group.
