Zeta Major is a BBC Books original novel written by Simon Messingham and based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It features the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, and Nyssa. It is a sequel to the television serial Planet of Evil.

Synopsis

The Fifth Doctor returns to the planet Morestra, which he had visited two thousand years ago. The ruling class has become a theocracy and is trying to return to stealing crystals from Zeta Minor. This energy-granting plan did not work so well long ago and is again causing problems now. The Doctor tries to deal with the fallout of this situation while his companions are sucked into Morestra court intrigue.
