Zall-Gjoçaj National Park

Zall-Gjoçaj National Park (Albanian: Parku Kombëtar i Zall Gjoçajt) is a park located in the region of Mat, upper-central Albania. The park has a surface area of 140.00 ha. Although small in size, it is abundantly rich in its biodiversity and habitat. The park's forest consists mainly of pine, fir and beech trees. It features numerous alpine meadows, glacial lakes and streams. Large mammals like Brown bears (Ursus arctos), wolves (Canis lupus), lynx (Felis lynx), deer (Capreolus capreolus) and birds like the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) live here.
