The Yuma Sun is a newspaper in Yuma, Arizona, United States. It has a circulation of 18,799.

History

The Morning Sun was first published in 1896; in 1935, it merged with the Arizona Sentinel (founded in 1872) to become the Yuma Morning Sun.

Cox Enterprises acquired complete ownership of the Sun in 1984; Cox went on to sell its Arizona papers to Thomson Newspapers in 1996. Thomson sold the Arizona papers to Freedom Communications in 2000. In 2013, Rhode Island Suburban Newspapers acquired the Yuma Sun and the Porterville Recorder from Freedom Communications.
