How Sellers Exploit Naivete - Yrjö Jahnsson Award 2015
Yrjo Jahnsson (1877–1936) was a Finnish economics professor at the University of Helsinki (appointed 1911). In the early 1930s he was openly critical of the strict monetary policy of the "orthodox" government and central bank. Ideologically he was a supporter of the Fennoman movement. During the 1920s and 1930s he was successful in business and made a substantial amount of money, which was used by his wife (Hilma Jahnsson (1882–1975)) to establish the Yrjo Jahnsson Foundation.
