The Yonge Street Rapidway is a Canadian bus rapid transit system proposed by Vivanext for the Yonge Street corridor in York. Construction of the Yonge Street portion of the network began in 2014.

The Yonge Street rapidway is central to the Vivanext plan and will eventually extend north along Yonge Street from Richmond Hill/Langstaff Urban Growth Centre at Highway 7 to Green Lane in Newmarket.

In February 2010, a public open house was held for the first segment of the Yonge Street rapidway, which will extend from Mulock to Davis Drive in Newmarket.

It is expected that the section from the Newmarket Bus Terminal to Mulock Drive and 19th Avenue to the Richmond Hill Centre Terminal will be completed in late 2018.

South of Richmond Hill Centre Terminal, the corridor to Finch Bus Terminal will be replaced with an extension of the Yonge-University line.

Stations

There will be 11 rapidway stations in Newmarket and Richmond Hill to be opened in 2018 and 9 more rapidway stations south of Newmarket into Aurora and north of Richmond Hill to be added later.
