Yojana Malayalam is the premier and prestigious development journal published by the Publications Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India. Presently Yojana is publishing in 12 Indian languages including Malayalam. Aim & Objective of Yojana Malayalam
The main aim of Yojana Malayalam magazine is to convey message of planning and development to the people. Yojana Malayalam has been publishing several article on Economics, Education, Culture, IT, Industry, Banking, Planning, Science, Agriculture, Fisheries, Panchayatiraj, Health, Rural Development, Forestry, Environment,Tourism, Women Empowerment etc. in its various issues. Experts from different fields are contributing their articles to Yojana Malayalam. Although Yojana Malayalam, is sponsored by government and is an official venture, it is in no way restricted in its content and expression .The journal while expressing the government views,always give praise where praise is due and criticize with constructive purpose. Yojana Malayalam gives different shades of opinion and views on various issues and thereby presents a balanced picture.
A brief history
Established under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting,The Regional Unit of Yojana Malayalam was started in the year 1972 at Golf Links, Thiruvananthapuram.Shri Rosscote Krishna Pillai was the founder Editor of Yojana Malayalam .From 30.10.2015 on wards Smt. Dhanya Sanal.K IIS is in position. Presently the post of Editor is re-designated as Assistant Director.At present,Yojana Malayalam is located at Govt. Press Road, Trivandrum,i.e.,at the heart of the city and catering the needs of the book lovers for the past three and a half decades.

Yojana Malayalam publishes four special issues in an year i.e. Republic Day Special, Independence Day Special, Budget Special and another Special issue,according to the relevant present day scenarios.The ordinary issue costs Rs.22/- and special issue costs Rs.30/- per copy.
The subscription rate of Yojana Malayalam is as follows:-
a) 1 year – Rs 230/- b) 2 years –Rs 430/- c) 3 years –Rs 610/-.The subscription amount can be sent to the Assistant Director,Yojana Malayalam ,Publications Division, Govt. Press Road, Thiruvananthapuram, Pin-695 001 by way of Money Order, Cash or DD from State Bank of India or State Bank of Travancore payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
