Yogendra Rastogi is one of the most famous calendar art painters of North India. He is noted for his paintings of Hindu deities. His painting studio is in Meerut. He died at the age of 76 on August 29, 2015.

Early life
Rastogi, a self-taught artist, was compelled to halt his formal education due to financial constraints. Lacking the resources to buy proper painting supplies, he honed his skills with whatever materials he could access. As the eldest son with the responsibility to support his family, he began his artistic career in Meerut, where he undertook various jobs in decorating and sign-painting to make ends meet. This practical experience laid the foundation for his development as an artist.

Since he first painted the boy soldier during the Indo-China war, the famous Nanha Munna Rahi, Rastogi had graduated to owning two printing presses devoted to his work.
