"Yo Mister" is a song written by Prince for Patti LaBelle. She recorded the song for her 1989 album, Be Yourself, and the song was released as a single. It became a top ten R&B hit.
The song is one of LaBelle's biggest R&B hits to date, peaking at number six on the Billboard R&B chart. The song failed to hit the Billboard Hot 100.
The song was written by Prince and also features Prince on various instruments and background vocals. The single mix and corresponding video version was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge.
