The yellow-spotted ringlet (Erebia manto) is a member of the Satyrinae subfamily of Nymphalidae. It is associated with (sub)alpine meadows at 900-2,500 m a.s.l. It is found in the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Cantabrian Mountains, the Massif Central, the Vosges Mountains, the Carpathian Mountains and the mountains of Herzegovina.
It was first described from "Wien" (Vienna, Austria).
The wingspan is 25–32 mm. Adults are on wing from July to August.
The larvae feed on Festuca species, mainly Festuca rubra.
