Yasu College of Education was registered by Reverend Leslie Herbert Zulu on 18 November 2015 in Zambia as a college that would offer secondary teacher's diploma courses. The college is located in Petauke town, Eastern Zambia.
Yasu College of Education has become very popular within a month of being operational because of good management policies and use of modern technologies in teacher education.
Yasu College of Education has brought together a team of well qualified and experienced educators who are serving as lecturers.
Opened 11 January 2016, the college already has first and second year students. Second year students have all joined the institution as transfer students from other colleges.
The college has received overwhelming support from members of the general public who are happy with the good policies that the college has put in place. Most serving teachers within Petauke and other places are very eager to further their career with the institution. The applications for distance learning programmes are overwhelming.
