Yang Xiaobo (born January 1963) is a Chinese politician who is the current Mayor of Huangshi.

Life and career

Yang was born and raised in Tianmen, Hubei. He entered Beijing Jiaotong University in 1981, majoring in structural engineering. In 1985 he was accepted to Tianjin University as a graduate student for a master's degree.

After college, he was assigned to Central South Architectural Design Institute, he became the vice-president in 2000, and three years later promoted to the president position.

In 2007 he became the head of Department of Construction of Hubei province. From 2009 he was transferred to Huangshi and served as deputy CPC party chief, vice-mayor, and acting mayor; he became the mayor in 2012.
