Yale Society for the Exploration of Campus Secrets

The Yale Society for the Exploration of Campus Secrets (YSECS) is a four-year secret society located at Yale University. They are known for uncovering and archiving the history of Yale's campus by finding hidden truths and secret rooms, researching university lore, and exploring campus mysteries. They are rumored to possess knowledge about all of Yale's rooftops, tunnels, and other hidden places as well as much of Yale's forgotten history. They claim to act for the preservation of Yale's history and ethos.Their public motto is Omnia Arcana Illustrabuntur (OAI), as seen on their website. Membership is determined through a rigorous selection process, during which candidates visit Yale's campus and engage in discussions with current members about their findings. Upon being selected, new members are granted access to the entirety of the society's knowledge. Members have been kicked out due to breaking society rules and the bonds of secrecy. All members are said to have a group-mandated mark somewhere on their bodies, but evidence for this is sparse.. The society is not thought to have an organized leadership structure.
