Xanthoparmelia lavicola fungi kingdom


Xanthoparmelia lavicola is a species of lichen from Parmeliaceae family that can be found in Arizona, California, and Ecuador. The upper part of theirs is either light yellow or yellow-green The bottom surface is brown coloured and is plane, with a 0.2–0.5 millimetres (0.0079–0.0197 in) in diameter. Their apothecia is 2–7 millimetres (0.079–0.276 in) wide, the thallus of which is laminal and is 4–7 centimetres (1.6–2.8 in) in diameter. The disc is either cinnamon-brown or dark brown and is ellipsoided. Their pycnidia is immersed, while their conidia is bifusiformed.
