X88 Software

X88 Software was a UK software company based in Reading, Berkshire. X88 was founded in 2008 and developed and sold a data management software product called X88 Pandora providing Data profiling, Data quality and Data integration capabilities.
X88 pioneered Data Preparation, calling it Data Prototyping, allowing non-technical users to interactively create business rules through the creation of a prototype of the required data.
The Pandora software is Client/Server and written in Java. It is underpinned by X88's own Correlation database management system. Pandora is used across many industries, such as in finance, media, telecoms, marketing, travel, utilities, manufacturing, government and IT services.
The founder and CEO of the company was Tony Rodriguez and the Chairman was Dave Berry. In 2012, X88 released a downloadable free version of the Pandora product which provided much of the data profiling, analysis and relationship discovery functionality of the full product, but on limited data volumes. In 2013, X88 Pandora was included for the first time in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for data quality tools. In October 2014, X88 Software Ltd. became part of the Experian group of companies, within the Experian Data Quality business, and the software was renamed as Experian Pandora.
