The Working-Class Studies Association is a professional association for American and international scholars studying and teaching about the lived experience of working-class people. It was formed in 2003 to promote the study of working-class people and their culture. The group includes academics, activists, teachers, writers, poets, journalists, practitioners, students, artists, and others interested in developing the field of working-class studies. The association holds an annual conference as well as other events, promotes the field through a variety of awards, and acts as a discussion forum for working-class issues.
