Wiri railway station building auckland nz

Wiri Railway Station is a defunct station on the Eastern and Southern Lines of the Auckland Railway Network in New Zealand. To the north is Puhinui Railway Station and to the south is Homai Railway Station.

Opened on 9 December 1913, the station closed on 14 February 2005 because it had the lowest patronage in Auckland.

In the coming years, the site of the railway station will be taken over by the new stabling and maintenance depot for Auckland's new electric trains.
