William Zerner

Wilhelm "William" Zerner (21 September 1882 – 28 May 1963) was an Australian school principal and schoolteacher. He was born in Fassifern Scrub, Queensland, Australia and died in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. From 1938–49 he was the supervisor of the Queensland Primary Correspondence School, a statewide organization with over 5000 students. He was an early advocate of teaching English literacy throughout the curriculum. At Nambour Rural School, where he taught from 1928, he encouraged the study of fruit packing. He also taught at Blenheim State School.
