William Williams


William John Williams (1856 – 1947) was an English-born Australian politician.

He was born in Gwennop in Cornwall and arrived in New South Wales around 1890. He worked as a house painter, and settled in Broken Hill, where he was also an auctioneer and agent. In 1901 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Independent Labor member for Alma. In 1904 he was defeated running for Sturt. He died in Broken Hill in 1947.
