William Sperry Beinecke (born 1914) is founder of the Central Park Conservancy and former chairman of S&H Green Stamps. He is the principal benefactor of the Yale Golf Course at Yale University and the William Miller Sperry Observatory at Union County College in Cranford, New Jersey. He is a donor to Yale University's Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library. Father of environmentalist Frances Beinecke, grandson of William Miller Sperry (namesake of Sperry Park, part of the Rahway River Parkway in Cranford), grandnephew of Thomas Sperry and son of Frederick W. Beinecke. Known as Bill Beinecke, he lived in Cranford, New Jersey until age 11. Beinecke published his memoirs in 2000.
