Willard Homestead (Harrisville, New Hampshire)

Location

Sunset Hill Ave., Harrisville, New Hampshire

The Willard Homestead is a historic house on Sunset Hill Road in Harrisville, New Hampshire. The oldest portion of this 1-1/2 story Cape style house was built c. 1787, and was for many years in the hands of the Willard family. A two-story addition in the 1880s gave the house a T shape. In 1900 it was purchased by Wellington Wells, who converted it into a summer residence, adding the front porch, dormers, and garage. The property also includes a barn, which is believed to date to the 18th century.

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
