Wide Angle Tasmania is a not-for-profit screen resource organisation that supports emerging and mid-career screen practitioners with access to training, equipment hire, networking, screenings, forums and production support. Wide Angle Tasmania is a member of Screen Development Australia, a national network of screen resource organisations that includes Metro Screen (NSW), Open Channel (Vic), QPIX (QLD), Media Resource Centre (SA) and FTI (WA).

Based out of the Salamanca Arts Centre in Hobart, Wide Angle Tasmania's aim is to support a vibrant screen culture and nurture Tasmanian talent. With financial assistance from Screen Tasmania and Screen Australia, Wide Angle Tasmania was incorporated in 2005.

Since 2008, Wide Angle Tasmania, in partnership with Screen Australia, have provided filmmakers with an opportunity to produce their first funded short film through the Raw Nerve Short Film Initiative. Films recently developed by Wide Angle Tasmania under the initiative include:
