Whitehead s broadbill
The Whitehead's broadbill (Calyptomena whiteheadi) is a species of bird in the Eurylaimidae family. It is restricted to montane forest in northern Borneo. It is the largest member of the genus Calyptomena. It is named after the British explorer John Whitehead (1860–1899) who collected natural history specimens in Borneo and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.

Description

It is 24–27 cm long; the male weighs 142–171 g, and the female 150–163 g. Like other two of its genus (Calyptomena), Whitehead's broadbill is a vivid green. To differentiate from its cousin, the Green broadbill, it has a black throat.
