It features instrumentation by the Funk Brothers and backing vocals by The Andantes. Whispers was originally released as the 'B' side of "(Far From) The Fairest Of Them All" a song, written by Buddy Scott & Jimmy Radcliffe, originally intended for presentation to Ray Charles.
