Weymouth falls nova scotia
Weymouth Falls is a rural community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in the District of Clare in Digby County. The community was almost entirely African-Canadian,. Weymouth Falls was settled in late -18th century as was the nearby village of Weymouth. Former slaves that fled the USA as Black loyalist and later by former slaves leaving from the Caribbean Islands would settle there. It was once a prosperous lumber industry, and even today the community remains agriculturally based.

Weymouth Falls was home to one of the world's greatest boxers, Sam Langford (1886–1956). Although he was never officially crowned World Champion, he held titles from England, Spain and Mexico. In 1972, Weymouth Falls erected a plaque to his memory in its community center.
Whylah Falls (1990), a poetic novel written by Black Canadian George Elliott Clarke takes place in Weymouth Falls.
