According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.8 square miles (92.6 km²), of which, 35.8 square miles (92.6 km²) of it is land and 0.03% is water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 611 people, 202 households, and 171 families residing in the town. The population density was 17.1 people per square mile (6.6/km²). There were 216 housing units at an average density of 6.0 per square mile (2.3/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.18% White, 0.65% from other races, and 0.16% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.95% of the population.
There were 202 households out of which 39.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.7% were married couples living together, 2.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.3% were non-families. 11.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.02 and the average family size was 3.32.
