The West Technical College (Colegiul Tehnic de Vest) is a high school in Timişoara, Romania. It was founded in 1946 as a school for civil, industrial and agricultural constructions. It suffered numerous name changes since, but kept its profile as an industrial and construction-oriented institution. From 2006 onward, it is known as the West Technical College of Timișoara. While over the decades it has given thousands of graduates that eventually became engineers, architects or professors, its future is uncertain as of 2012, being the subject of a proposed merge with the Ion Mincu Technical College, due to its grounds having been returned to its previous owners, which demanded a high rent fee over the last couple of years.
