West Point is an unincorporated community in western Fayette County, Texas, United States. Although it is unincorporated, West Point has a post office , with the ZIP code of 78963. It has a small store. The population may be "a few hundred or so" according to a resident. The La Grange, TX school bus covers the area. The brick structure remains of what once was the West Point School. Two abandoned buildings with substantial store fronts still stand a few blocks from the old school property. as of 2015 there is only one retail businesses, a gas station at the corner of Hwy 71 and Loop 543.
