Werner Hoffmann (7 August 1920 – 7 February 1945) was a highly decorated Hauptmann in the Luftwaffe during World War II and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Werner Hoffmann was killed on 7 February 1945 over Frankfurt an der Oder. During his career credited with flying 500+ missions.
