Welayta Dicha is an Ethiopian football club based in Sodo. They are a member of the Ethiopian Football Federation national league.
Stadium
Currently the team plays at the 65,000 capacity Wolaita Soddo Stadium. The team is proud of Wolaita people and announces clear picture of Wolaita by showing cultural dances of Wolaita when they enter into the stadium. The team consists of three players (Alazar Fasika, Anagaw Badeg and Mubarek Shikur) those available since the establishment of the team as local team. Mesay Tefri is leading the team as a coach since now. The team has got its name from two words (“Wolaita" = the name of the ethnic group and, "Dicha" = growth. Literary meaning, growth of Wolaita or the team runs the growth of Wolaita.
