Weeve was a free crowdfunding website for nonprofit projects founded by Alex Chung, Vincent Chu, and Trevor Loke and based in Vancouver, Canada. The site once raised money for organizations including the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and YWCA.

On August 15, 2012 it was announced that Weeve would join GrowLab as a member of its farm team. Weeve was presented at the 2012 GrowConference Demo Day in Vancouver.

On February 14, 2013, Weeve was acquired by a Canadian public company, LX Ventures, for undisclosed amount.

The Weeve website is now inactive.

Model

Weeve operated based on a freemium model, opting not to take any transaction fees from donors or nonprofit organizations. Weeve attempted to generate revenue through partnerships with companies who want to target socially conscious donors on the site, and sponsor nonprofit projects.
