We are Trans-Mission Are an alternative art rock band from London, England.

Formed in 2001 Trans-Mission released three albums under the mad trap record label in North America distributed by the US based City Hall Records.
They have also done sessions for New York radio Station WFMU and in February 2010 played a well received tour of the U.S.

Their Second album titled The Midnite Squeeze released in 2010 reached No. 179 on the US billboard 200 helped by a US tour early in 2010 to promote the album.

Prior to their deal with City Hall Records they had released two EPs in their hometown of London on their own mad trap records label.

They have been compared with experimental bands such as The Velvet Underground and The Birthday Party and also have recently been referenced in comparison to Yoko Ono and The B52's.

They have built up a cult following in the US due to prolonged touring and airplay and have been featured in The Village Voice and New York Waste magazine in New York including one cover story.

In 2012 We are Trans-Mission released their third album entitled Waltz Chrome Cello which was a more varied affair with what US based music magazine Pitchfork described as an attempt to gain radio airplay on their own station in their own town. Los Angeles alternative rock station 98.7FM and New York's WFMU have both included the tracks from the album including Paris in the Sun and Benzedrine Blonde on their rotation lists.
