A Wash and Set is a term used commonly within the hair industry in order to describe a service performed on the hair. The service can be described simply as having your hair washed, conditioned, dried, and curled. Wash and Sets can be received in most hair salons. Although a wash and set can be done as frequently as an individual likes, it is typically only done every week or for some every two weeks.

In the M*A*S*H episode, Radar's Report, Frank advances and mistakes Klinger under a hair dryer for Margaret, after which Klinger exclaims, "Can't a guy have a wash and set without somebody biting him on the neck?!!"
